Children develop a sense of temperature whether its hot or cold at an early age. This understanding of temperature is a good starting point to teach the differences in temperature.

Change in temperature in different seasons was better understood by learners of grade 1 through an experiment that practically depicted rise and fall in temperature in a thermometer. The temperature rises when put in a beaker containing hot water & falls when put in a beaker containing cold water.
